About Us

Asteven Energy Institute is a dynamic, vision-birthed pioneer in renewable energy training in West Africa, offering educational services and certifications covering the whole value chain of renewable energy technologies. We deliver customized educational content starting from the economics and finance of renewable energy, through to design, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar components, and energy-efficient appliances.The institute is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art facilities for hands-on training.

Asteven Energy Institute is the first Innovation Enterprise Institution (IEI) approved by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) and accredited by Nigeria’s National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to offer a National Innovation Diploma (NID) in Solar Energy Technology(SET). Additionally, AEI is approved by the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) as a National Skills Qualification (NSQ) provider.

Asteven Institute was commissioned on February 28, 2018, as a solar training academy and, since its inception, has trained, certified, and empowered over 3,000 able-bodied men and women across Nigeria in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation and entrepreneurship.

AEI is accredited by COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) as a training center for Solar Photovoltaic Installation (SPVI) and Solar Photovoltaic Installation Supervision (SPVIS). We are also accredited by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) as an examination center for Solar Photovoltaic Installation Training (Level 1) and Clean Mini-Design, Installation, and Inspection (Level 2).

We have campuses in Ogun state, Rivers state, Delta state and the UK with well-furnished hostel accommodations.
