There are 2 requirement options open to prospective students.
1. A minimum score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as stipulated by JAMB.
2. Possession of five (5) Credit O-level passes at WASSCE, SSCE, or their equivalents at not more than TWO (2) sittings. The five subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other relevant subject.?
The programme duration is two academic sessions consisting of four semesters of 17 weeks each. The structure is:
15 contact weeks per semester for teaching, lectures, tests, quizzes, recitations, and practical exercises.
2 weeks for the conduct of examinations.
SIWES (Supervised Industrial Work Experience Scheme): Taken during the long vacation following the end of the second semester of the first year.
Final Year Project: A project work incorporating design, drawing, and fabrication, carried out individually or as a group?
The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practical work. For each course, there should be a balance of theory to practical in the following ratios:
50:50 or 60:40 or the reverse.
Practical exercises, especially in professional courses and laboratory work, should not be taught in isolation from the theory. The curriculum is written in behavioural objectives so that expected student performance is clear to all.?
